Round lighted door chime button in brass color with a black button is designed for use with doorbell chimes, bells, and door buzzers. It is perfect as a replacement for a doorbell button. Please be aware that a diode is required (not included) if you are using a digital chime that plays a melody and has a speaker for the sound. However, it is not necessary if you are using a mechanical doorbell chime that produces a 2-Note sound with a small mallet hitting a metal bar. This product does not include doorbell wire and may expose you to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm. The unlighted surface mounted doorbell button is a wired black plastic button housed in a 1.75-inch round metal casing. It can be installed without the need for drilling if you are replacing an existing button. This doorbell button is compatible with almost any doorbell transformer and wired chimes, and can be used on both stucco and wood surfaces. Just like the lighted door chime button, please remember that a diode is necessary (not included) if you are using a digital chime with a melody and speaker, while it is not required for a mechanical chime with a 2-Note sound and small mallet hitting a metal bar.
